This morning was a lesson well learned.
After procrastinating, I did a short 1 mile run with the puppy and began my long run at 8:45 and 84.5 degrees. The first 4 miles were great. The next half mile was hard. The last half mile turned me into an overheated, asthmatic, coughing hot mess. Lesson learned:
The good–it was my first run ever wearing a hat. I hate wearing hats, but no sun in my eyes? I’ve been missing out.
The bad–it’s hot. Get your lazy butt out of bead earlier to run–or have the good sense to hit the treadmill.
The ugly–even if it’s been 8 months since your last asthma attack, don’t get lazy. Bring the inhaler.
What now? A date with this little number.
Fun backstory–the lady for whom I am altering this likes to just stop by and hope I can help. Normally, a random person showing up without an appointment would irritate me, but I have a soft spot for kind, soft spoken ladies who remind me of my grandma.
Hopefully this hot date will conclude quickly so I can have a literally hot date with the pool.
