Green Monster, Take 1

I’ve seen people posting about making green monster shakes. They look wonderful–cool and green and healthy. So today I whipped out the ol’ magic bullet to give it a whirl (quite literally, lol.)

Frozen berries, bananas, and pineapple, spinach water and a splash of juice.

What I learned:

1) Add more water! I’m surprised I didn’t burn out the motor.

2) Nuke the berries longer. I usually pop the frozen things in the microwave for 30ish seconds to kill the chill, but frozen pineapple is brutal. This is my cup, fresh from the microwave.

3) This stuff packs down nicely, so be ready with more spinach.

4) It is better with a scoop of Greek yogurt.

5). I am glad I got the magic bullet. Eve though I know the Ninja blender I was considering is higher quality, I love how easy mine is to clean and that I canthrow all the bits and pieces into a basket and store it neatly. In a tiny house, this is key.

End product:

Loved it.

Do you make green monsters? Love or hate them? What do you put in them? I’d love to hear what you think!
